3 Mondays

Three Mondays

An incredible opportunity for some very special young people to spend three days taking part in three extraordinary activities.

Open to young people aged 9+ either in foster care or currently out of the mainstream school system because of possible additional needs. It has been made by possible with funding by Chalk Cliff Trust, we’re very chuffed.

Monday 1 A day with the horses.

Roberts Farm, Robertsbridge has 5 very special rescue horses. Every participant took it in turns to have their own quiet time with the horses. They lead them around the paddock or fed them or if they wished, they could just be with them.

We all ate lunch together and made outside art in response to the morning.

Children were always accompanied by a horse expert and never rode the horses.

Monday 2 Was a visit to Hastings Museum & Art Gallery.

We visited the exhibition African Caribbean Seaside Memories, and were extremely privileged to be guided by the curator Lorna Hamilton-Brown RCA MBE. We then took part in a brilliant creative workshop led by Lorna and Claudine Eccleston .

Monday 3 We will be visiting the beach in Bexhill and creating a piece of art work from found objects and natural materials.

If you are interested in referring a young person, please do get in touch with us. We have funding so the beach day will be free of charge, as were the two other Mondays.
