The brilliant independent businesses along the road, the immense heritage, the stories all aligned to an area that is becoming the creative quarter of Bexhill.

We are currently in discussion to paint signage on the Sackville Road Bridge so we can direct people towards the area and the other way, back to the sea.

We’re also in discussions to green up the area, although it’s lovely it is polluted and trees along the road would significantly assist in tackling the pollution.

We are planning to select businesses along the road and explore the heritage of their buildings, the previous owners that used to call it home, learn about the current, why they set up their business and explore what makes them so unique.

They will be photographed, oral history recordings taken and an online exhibition created, we hope this in turn can happen to other streets in Bexhill and overall we can all celebrate, promote and cherish the many independent businesses in Bexhill
