ART – Everyone should have access to some form of art, it’s so important for everything.
COMMUNITY – without communities, there is nothing, we empower each other by working for and together.
I trained at Cheltenham and Camberwell Art Colleges, a foundation course and a degree in metal work and silversmithing and then ceramics. I then moved onto an MA in film & television design at Kingston University and quite a few jewellery courses at John Cass. Always a career in the arts, including producing in film & theatre, facilitating many workshops, five years as an actors agent and more recently co-owning Love Art, Tooting Market Enabling access to the arts, running workshops and supporting local artists by selling their work.
Recently co-created Meet and Make Spaces, working within community to enable many, Living Communities is now going to fold it’s wings over it to create one body. Front line to support mental health, isolation and stress of present living; utilising the power of the arts to empower/encourage/support.
Local heritage projects calling on skills of community to make huge tapestry and mural. Working with St George’s University to enable the community to respond creatively to their Pathology Museum, to assist in steering its future.
I have recently moved to Bexhill-On-Sea for more adventures including focusing on my jewellery and print making. And another one is Love Art By The Sea, a retail space, workshop and community space and of course Living Communities encompasses it all.
Recent life changing experience – An Eden Project Communities Camp, it validated and inspired and encouraged me to continue to work with my local community… coming to get you.
